Terms of use

The rules for using the Kibanda website and, once your shop is live, the Kibanda service.

Last updated 9 October 2026

1. Who we are

Kibanda (“we”, “us”) provides online shop pages, bookings and order tools for small businesses in Kenya. By using this website or the Kibanda service you agree to these terms.

2. The waitlist

Joining the waitlist doesn’t create an account or commit you to anything. We use your details to contact you about setting up your shop. You can ask to be removed at any time by emailing support@kibanda.shop.

3. Your shop

  • You are responsible for what you list: the products and services, their descriptions, photos and prices, and for delivering what you sell.
  • You must only sell goods and services that are legal in Kenya and that you have the right to sell.
  • You must keep your sign-in details safe and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
  • You keep ownership of your content. You allow us to show it on your shop page and in previews when your link is shared.

4. Payments

When customers pay online, the payment is handled by a licensed payment partner and goes to the account you set up. Kibanda does not hold your money. Refunds and disputes between you and your customers are your responsibility, though we’ll help where we can. Any Kibanda fees will be shown to you clearly before you pay them.

5. Fair use

Don’t use Kibanda to mislead customers, send spam, collect other people’s data without permission, or interfere with the service. We may suspend shops that break these terms or the law.

6. Changes and availability

We are improving Kibanda all the time, so features may change. We work to keep the service running but can’t promise it will never be interrupted. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you before the change takes effect.

7. Liability

Kibanda is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profit, that come from using or not being able to use the service. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Kenyan consumer law.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
